Terms & Conditions

Welcome to SafePaws. By booking any service, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. General

SafePaws provides canine myotherapy, dog walking, pet visits and overnight pet care services across Saltdean, Brighton and surrounding areas.

The welfare, safety and comfort of all animals remain the highest priority throughout every service provided.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information regarding their pet's health, behaviour, veterinary history and any special requirements.

SafePaws reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a pet's welfare, safety or behaviour presents a risk to themselves, other animals or the handler.

2. Canine Myotherapy

Veterinary Consent

Veterinary consent must be obtained before any canine myotherapy treatment takes place. Treatment cannot commence without written approval from your veterinary surgeon.

Initial Consultation

The first appointment is an assessment-only consultation and does not include treatment. This appointment includes:

  • Medical and lifestyle history

  • Movement assessment

  • Photographic and video analysis where appropriate

  • Hands-on palpation

  • Discussion of findings and recommendations

Initial Treatment Course

An initial course of three treatment sessions, typically spaced 7–10 days apart, is generally recommended to monitor progress and establish an appropriate treatment plan.

Following completion of the initial treatment course, a report may be provided to the referring veterinary surgeon to support continuity of care.

Maintenance Treatments

Maintenance sessions are usually recommended every 4–6 weeks but will vary depending on the individual dog's needs, lifestyle and condition.

Choice-Led Approach

All treatments are carried out using a calm, dog-centred approach. Dogs are given the opportunity to communicate their preferences throughout the session, and treatment may be adapted, paused or stopped if required.

Sessions are typically performed at floor level or wherever the dog feels most comfortable and relaxed.

3. Dog Walking Services

Dog walking services are currently available within Saltdean.

Group Walks

Group walks take place in a secure, enclosed field and dogs are carefully matched according to temperament, size and compatibility.

New dogs may be introduced gradually and spaces are subject to availability.

Solo Walks

Solo walks are tailored to the individual dog's needs, age, health and energy levels.

Equipment

Owners must provide suitable collars, harnesses and leads that are safe and in good working order.

Health Requirements

All dogs must:

  • Be fully vaccinated or have an agreed titre testing programme.

  • Be free from contagious illness.

  • Display behaviour suitable for the service requested.

SafePaws reserves the right to refuse group walks if a dog's behaviour may compromise the safety or wellbeing of other dogs.
